We’re thrilled to announce that the first major result of our work at BRIDGE is now ready and publicly available: the BRIDGE Guidebook on Digital Safety, Inclusion & GDPR-compliance for Adult Education.
What happened before this
Over the past months, we ran a piloting phase with adult-education institutions, real settings with real people, to test whether the Guidebook really works: whether the guidance, tools, templates, and examples are useful, practical and accessible for our target group.
That means that what you get now isn’t just a theoretical handbook : it’s a refined, user-tested resource, shaped by feedback from educators and learners who helped us make it better.
What’s inside and why you should care
This Guidebook is for adult-education institutions, educators and learners (especially immigrant women and other adults facing barriers in digital education).
It helps you:
- Understand why data protection, digital safety and privacy matter, not just legally (e.g. GDPR), but as basic rights.
- Learn how to adopt safe online practices and inclusive digital teaching/learning.
- Use ready-made checklists, templates, action plans and real-life examples, so you can act right away.
- Make digital learning more welcoming, safe, and inclusive for people who often get left behind.
What’s next?
With this launch, we’re rolling out the Guidebook publicly, so anyone can download and use it. But that’s just phase one.
Next up:
- Our gamified online course (MOOC) on digital safety and privacy is almost ready to go – it’s now in its final polishing phase!
- A mentorship programme supporting educators and institutions to integrate safe, inclusive digital practices in real contexts.
